Well Hello ThereIt started when Kailyn got lost again. The Flareon had gotten used to the inside of the ranch but still wasn't completely sure of the outside area. So when she went outside to explore and didn't take a less directionally challenged companion, well, it wasn't long before she lost sight of the ranch and found her self in an unfamiliar area. Her ears keep alternating from being perched high on her head to catch sounds, to low and pressed against her head from the situation being what it was. She looked around at the trees, hoping to find any thing familiar and finding nothing.
Finally, after debating what to do, Kailyn decided to attempt climbing onto a tree to find a landmark so she moved over to one that looked easy enough. She crouched low on the ground and after a moment of tensing her leg muscles, sprang up into the air. Since she had never tried to climb a tree before though, she wasn't prepared enough. So even though she did managed to touch the first branch easily enough, she wasn
Blaze and Derek, both lv 2 - Exploring Route 1!The grass moved in slow waves from the gentle breeze in the air. The sun shone brilliantly done on the word making the vibrant colors come to life. It was fairly temperate, not to hot and not to cold as well. All together a very pleasant day to go exploring which is why Blaze and Derek were currently out and about. The Charmander had been the instigator of course, dragging the shy Poliwag away from the brand new ranch to explore their new surroundings with very little fuss. Even though the two pokemon had only known each other for about a week, it was clear to Blaze how much of a push over Derek was.
"Are you sure?" Derek asked as he was pulled along in the grass by his tail. This would make the sixth time he asked the vague question but Blaze knew what he was asking and was patient enough to respond yet again. "Yes. She doesn't mind us exploring, we need to know the land, finding new friends isn't bad, you'll be fine, I'll be fine, and nothing bad will happen!" Blaze listed off with o
Friendship - Weekly promptWhen Faith first arrived at the Fox Den Ranch she hadn't known anyone. The Chingling hadn't come with a friend and hadn't met any of the pokemon that lived on the ranch before hand so it wasn't surprising that she felt lonely at first. After about a day of hiding out in her claimed area she gathered up her courage and set out to meet the others. At first she would peek very briefly around corners and avoided the rooms as she thought about what she would say when she finally did run into one of the other pokemon there.
But she didn't have long to think about it since it wasn't long before she did actually run into one of the others in a hall. The first pokemon she ran into happened to be one of the other new comers, the Gastly. They both kind of awkwardly stood and floated there for a moment before Faith straightened up and gave a smile. "Hello there! I'm Faith! Who are you?" She asked in her bell-like voice. It took a heart beat before the Gastly gave a small smile back. "Hello, I'm Ch
The Parlour IncidentOne day in July, I believe it was, I found myself sitting with several acquaintances in Christopher's parlour. It was one of those deliciously lazy afternoons which only the summer in her full glory can bring. The room had a wan, listless light to it, relaxing the other guests and myself as we languidly chatted over tea and crumpets. The air was also sluggishly heavy, dulling the senses to a slowly-blended calm engendered by the heat of St. Othniel's southerly climate.
At length, after much stimulating conversation, Christopher stood, producing a book of sheet music.
"What do you all say to a bit of music?" he asked.
"Certainly," I answered.
"Oh yes, please do darling!" Tabitha exclaimed, "he's quite the maestro."
Christopher laughed, shaking his head.
"Now, now love, I'd not go that far."
He strode over to the piano as the other guests urged him on. Ida entered the room bearing a merrily steaming teapot and more crumpets.
"More tea sirs?" she inquired, shooting sideways glances at her
