Friendship - Weekly prompt

When Faith first arrived at the Fox Den Ranch she hadn't known anyone. The Chingling hadn't come with a friend and hadn't met any of the pokemon that lived on the ranch before hand so it wasn't surprising that she felt lonely at first. After about a day of hiding out in her claimed area she gathered up her courage and set out to meet the others. At first she would peek very briefly around corners and avoided the rooms as she thought about what she would say when she finally did run into one of the other pokemon there.

But she didn't have long to think about it since it wasn't long before she did actually run into one of the others in a hall. The first pokemon she ran into happened to be one of the other new comers, the Gastly. They both kind of awkwardly stood and floated there for a moment before Faith straightened up and gave a smile. "Hello there! I'm Faith! Who are you?" She asked in her bell-like voice. It took a heart beat before the Gastly gave a small smile back. "Hello, I'm Chris, pleased to meet you." Once the ice was broken the two pokemon spent the next half hour talking about where they had been before coming to the ranch and other miscellaneous topics until they said their goodbyes and parted.

Since the first meeting was such a success, Faith started to happily bounce in the halls and check in rooms, no longer hesitant. The next pokemon she found happened to be the pokemon who had been at the ranch the longest, the oldest Seviper. This time Faith was quick to greet the other pokemon and ask her name. "Tami, welcome to the ranch." Again Faith sat talking with another pokemon for a while, this time about what the ranch and the owner were like since Tami would have more experience with it.

They spent an hour talking before another pokemon joined them, this time an Eevee. "Hello! I'm Faith!" the Chingling once again greeted. "Hello, I'm Conrad." He said then joined in their conversation. Over the next half hour Faith learned about how Tami had been abandoned before Rachel found her and how Conrad had been bought and had two siblings. The conversation derailed when Tami said she had to leave to check up on her son and Conrad had to go meet up with Kailyn for battle practice so Faith was once again left to her own devices.

She started to wonder around again looking for the next pokemon to meet and it wasn't long before she stumbled on someone else. This time it was a Gothorita. They both took one look at each other and something sort of clicked. With grins they found a place to sit and talk. The topics ranging from where they come from, pokemon they knew, battle experience or lack there of, and more. One and on they talked for hours until they heard the call for dinner. Even then they talked all through dinner, occasionally including others but sticking mainly to one another.

After dinner Felicia showed Faith her favorite spots inside the ranch house and when it was time for bed they agreed to meet back up in the morning to hang out some more. Faith returned to her room with a spring in her step, making happy bell sounds as she walked. All and all the day had been successful. She really meet four of the others, not just enough to say pleasantries only, and had some good conversations and best of all she found some one who she clicked with. She fell asleep thinking meeting Felicia was the start of a beautiful friendship.
